but hasn't stated when. Until then, Hobbs says they'll counter FiOS by locking customers into "price for life" triple play bundle promotions
(on top of pretending they offer last mile fiber and picking on the FiOS name).
Seriously Karl...once again you have injected your pro FIOS/Telco opinion. Kindly stick to the facts and report the story and nothing but the story. Ordinarily I don't like to respond to such things but recently you have gone way beyond what even I can tolerate. Both sides have valid advantages and disadvantages, each to be decided by their respective customers. Your increasingly obvious sniping is not only very unprofesssional but in this case just isn't true.

One, I'm about pro-telco as I am pro-puppy murder. I am pro-FiOS, in the sense that FiOS is better than DOCSIS 1.0 or 2.0, which means I'm pro-truth. Sorry.

Two, Time Warner Cable is running ads pretending that last mile fiber is the same as core network fiber. They're also running ads that mock the FiOS name. Are you suggesting I'm making these facts up?

Three, I'm actually a very happy Time Warner Cable customer at my residential address. I haven't had to call for support at the current address for running on two years. I've also had good success at two previous installation addresses. Sorry, I'm actually a fan. Interesting that doesn't prohibit me from being critical when necessary.

People need to stop whining about bias (a complaint that ironically comes 99% of the time from the paid employees of the companies I'm criticizing, which I'll guess is a category you also fit into) and start specifically correcting factual errors. If I've posted something that isn't accurate, I'll always fix it.

Care to post a factual error?

Exactly.

Some people seem to forget that the performance of these companies varies from area to area and there is no such thing as brand loyalty in the broadband business.

Just because a member favors one ISP over another because it WORKS, don't lynch him/her and claim they're being paid by said ISP.

Karl may have his 'off' moments as a news writer here, but he's criticised and praised each ISP equally here over the years and he does so as a professional. Not with unwaivering bias because a tech came by his home drunk and cut his line while working on his cable service.

I swear, some people should have pace-makers installed to free up the resources. Breathing and heart beat taxes their whole system, all of their brain cells wasted on life support.-two bit brains, and the second bit is wasted on parity! ~head_spaz
