As it turns out att web pages aren't very helpful, they didn't tell me I was using the wrong ID. My stinking XP IE 7.0 put in my yahoo/att ID which happened to be a sbc account. ATT recognized that as a good ID but not an ID that would gits to my account manager. So their web page hung. Worst part they don't have the programming savvy to make me aware of that fact.
It wasn't until I used my Ubuntu OS and Firefox there had gotten the right ID and PW. ATT can go in a change stuff in XP but not Ubuntu. I think this all happened after yahoo/att changed my yahoo email page and so IE 7.0 then took my yahoo/att ID and used it at the ATT account manager login. As I go from a link in an email from att to the login page at ATT account manager.

ATT raised their internet prices but they still gots me at the old price. Thank god for open source OS's like Ubuntu. Yeah their support is one of the worst one's I've dealt with. When trying to get an answer to this issue I spent several hours on hold being transferred from one department to the next. None of which knew the correct answer or could even send me to the place that had a clue.

Actually the first DSL technology used by Ameritech were (UBL) Unbundled Loops (Dry Loop)...

I was told that initially also, and requested my online registration code last week. I've been trying to log in/sign up to their online account manager to view and pay my bill, but keep getting errors when trying to log in or register.

After several calls over the past two weeks, the DSL Billing department just told me that dry loop accounts are not eligible to use the online account manager since the system does not recognize the phone number on the account. This seems a bit ridiculous to me if true, especially since I spent several hours on the phone getting transferred from one dept to another where no one had a clue as to what to do to help me.

So is this true? Am I stuck with sending check or paying over the phone? Has anyone else dealt with this?
