If ELNK wants to make an investment that pays off...

They could try re-hiring some US-based tech support and stop strangling the tech support they have with their misguided efforts at cost control.

Problem is most of the good tech support people that Earthlink have moved on. When Earthlink let all of them go, they went on to other companies. I also think that a lot of them if they were able to come back, won't.

I use to work for Earthlink Tech Support and can tell you horror stories on how we tried to get management to listen to us.
