·Charter
1 edit | Hmmmm, what to choose? Order DSL online/via the phone and pay $60 to have it installed by the next day...
Call Charter and pick up a self-install kit/obtain my own modem and have my Internets activated same day...for free... -- :: my trivial ramblings :: |

 | You're aware you're talking about companies in two different countries, right? I think it would be more relevant to ask what Bell's competition is doing. |

That depends, though. If you currently subscribe to TV service from your cable provider, then no, you don't need a site visit since you already are connected to their network.
But if you are a new customer, then you need a tech visit to either 1) connect the drop or 2) remove filters.
But yea, being able to do a self install with cable is a major plus. The fact that you can literally be up and running within minutes of purchasing/receiving your cable modem makes it so much easier to leave DSL immediately. |
