So...

Qwest, once the lines are laid, just ships the modem to you to get service running. That takes a bit, but nobody has to come and install everything. Comcast OTOH does have to come for an install, and it costs $50, but Bell sell DSL right?

Yes it is a DSL service, with free throttling too & usage caps.

here you pay $20 to have your internet installed by cable. No self install option available. But when they come out they run a new line from the cable drop to your modem, install the line at the tap, run a new line if you want from the tap to your house. Buckeye treats the customers right. Hell can even have you a tech for install faster than AT$T can ship your modem.

Hmm. Sounds like Customer Service. I don't see that with the regular Bell Sympatico (course, the SympatDirect techs, that's another story...)
