7004br password reset

Seven Begore posted : I've got an old SMC 7004BR that I found in a thrift store. The default password doesn't work no matter how many times I've tried resetting it. I tried shorting pins 3 and 8 and it seemed to work but the screen still won't accept the default password. After that I tried shorting pins 4 and 8 with the same result. Has anyone run into this problem before?
