The Freespace series allowed you to play the game cooperatively on the lan, that set the standard for me that this game doesn't match.

I just don't much enjoy playing games by myself.
SKYHN : Tie Fighter was so awesome. I loved the gameplay dynamics where you could use every key on the keyboard for a different ship function or command. Boosting your rear shields when you had someone behind you attacking, or increasing engine power from shields to avoid turret fire. Or transferring all power to your weapons for turbo speed fire.

I've yet to play a space combat sim that was as in depth. X3 was pretty good, but I never could quite get into it.
--
Do you douche with coconut juice?

TigerLord : X3 Reunion, EVE Online, FreeLancer. If you played those game you played the greater Freespace 2, and hopefully, StarLancer. Perhaps the Wing Commander games. The glorious days of space combat sims are long gone. But there is something new on the horizon (SUPER CHEESY PUN FTW!!!).

We need more game like StarLancer and Freespace 2. Freelancer had NOTHING to do with StarLancer, except that it's in space. StarLancer was awesome!

Dark Horizon is due Sept 23 2008 and is a new space combat simb like Freespace 2 and StarLancer.

I've been following its progress for a little over a year and I think it looks good!
