It worked with the Linksys before the Actiontec and now works with the Linksys providing wireless instead of the Actiontec.

The reason I asked is that the Rev. D is supposed to have a newer (better) wireless card in it than the earlier Rev. A units, but I still hear a lot of complaints on here even with the newer version. took the tower with the AVI --> Linksys WRT160 ---> wireless ---> laptop, no problems.

Strange thing is, if you were to believe the bars on the networks available the Actiontec has a better signal. I think perhaps the receiving end is lacking.

The problem I'm having is that I have 2 laptops an HP on Vista and a Toshiba A45-S250 on XP. It's using a Belkin 7010 wireless adapter. The Toshiba is the one with the strange problems.

If I run the speed test I can get reasonable speeds. However, if I try to play and AVI video from another computer that is wired to the router I get stopping/stuttering video. If I'm within 10' of the router the AVI works. The farther the distance the worse it is. Sounds like a signal problem but it says the signal is fine. I don't know what the return signal to the router looks like.

When all of this was on a Linksys and cable I never saw the problem.

Anybody have any thoughts on this? I there something I should be tweaking in the router? Thanks.
