You can bet the phone whizzes at xda-dev will have this dude's software parted out and have android up and running shortly thereafter. I've already got a prerelease version running on my AT&T Tilt.

What dude's software?

You can already download the whole source on the Android website.

You can run android on many existing phones.

download those files to your phone (device memory, sd card drivers are iffy) then run haret.exe to boot to android. to get back to winmo you'll need to soft reset. This is a prerelease version, so not everything is 100%.

Enjoy

Re: xda

Dude, in the redneck vernacular, is a noun meaning an indirect reference to a physical item, in this instance the Android phone.
