Take a look at the following at the following MS KB article and see if anything applies:

»support.microsoft.com/?id=929605

The information under the "Workaround" lists all the requirements that must be met for the full 4 GB to be used.

One thing, make sure the memory remapping feature is "enabled' in the BIOS.
