Where do i put that address in? I am trying to read from my E: Drive to see the recycle bin. My normal recycle bin isnt showing the files in there.

Are you saying that when i delete off my hardrive it goes to my computers recycle bin? Does the external not have one of its own?

They should be in the recycled bin. Each partition has its own "sub recycle bin", the recycler folder, all sub recycle bins form the main recycle bin on the desktop.

The info will be in this x:\recycler\s-1-xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx-1003\info2 file.

Just hook up the external HD to any system, the deleted files should show up under main recycle bin.

If you want to empty it, just empty the recycle bin in the desktop, it will empty all recycler folders.

It you want to empty just a particular recycler folder. Use recycle bin to empty individual files.

If you want to "manipulate" it, go to command prompt, enter X: (where x is the drive letter), enter cd \recycler to go into recycler folder. Attrib whatever you want to delete and then delete it/them.

There is no point to set/change attribute on the recycler folder itself. You don't manipulate the folder, you need to manipulate the contents of the folder.

Again, using the main recyle bin via GUI allows you to delete whatever you want to delete.
