geektitan : reply to khalek

hi there khalek!

based on what's going on to your issue, i would say that the problem is on the actual dsl line itself and calling the ATT tech support will solve your issue. You've done great on figuring out your issue and trying to fix it on your but this kind of issue is really something to do with the actual lines itself and only att techs can fix that for you. You don't have to be afraid of paying anything because you won't. charges for att will only applicable if the problem is on your end but as long as the problem is on att's line. you won't pay even a single penny...believe me..because i'm an att tech guy

anon : I've been experiencing this since we've had DSL installed. I signed up for the Pro package, and am using a 2Wire HomePortal 1100. I use a MacBook Pro with OS X 10.5. Modem is doing the PPPoE. I use a router, a D-Link WBR-1310. I have filters installed on every line.

Now that that information is done... every time I get a phone call DSL signal seems to drop when we pick up the phone. If we stay on the phone, the DSL signal will come back and the modem stops flashing orange and turns solid green. Then when we hang up the phone, the modem starts flashing orange for usually a minute then turns green, but can sometimes take ~ 10 minutes to turn green again. I've tried replacing the filter several times with no luck.

Any advice?

(Also, I'm aware I'm with @sbcglobal.net, but I've been unable to find any other forum for this problem, and every solution I've tried has failed.
