| World's most famous photograph The other thread got me thinking globally and I wondered what people thought was the world's most famous photograph.
I think my vote for most famous photo ever has to be Yeltsin atop the tank in 1991 staring down the coup forces. It's not a stunning picture in and of itself (there are various versions of the same event) but the significance of that event caught on film can't be discounted.

I can think of two instances of photojournalism that have stood out in my recollection over the past 50 years.
The first details the horrors of war in Vietnam and the second was the protester facing the tanks in Tienamen Square. |
