14,000 feet is putting you out there, but usually a long line will have Attenuation in the high 50s to low 60s.

Download usually about 2200 kbps. They tell me that due to some changes made by Qwest my loop length is now 14,700. With sn down about 11db and attn. 53db they have me privisioned (per WAM Port Stats.) at 736 kbps and resulting down speed of 598 kbps.
