| reply to formattedc Sure. I was paying $106 for advanced phone and the 6Mb tier, then the upgrades came around, so I checked the wowway site to see what price difference would be for the 15/1 tier+adv phone and it was $84, I think. $89 after tax. These numbers may not be exact, but are within a few dollars. Definitely worth checking. -- 'void planets roll regardless of desolation' |

| reply to DJ Matt It turns out that I was paying more than I should be for the new bundling. Was at 8/1 now 15/1 and saved $14 lol. This is awesome. You usenet users out there should try nzbplayer. With these speeds I bet 720p could be streamed. -- 'void planets roll regardless of desolation' |

I think the price was worth it. I've tried wireless, but don't bother now. EDIT: I would have though your wireless would have been good to a higher speed though. I am unfamiliar with the 120VAC plug. What does this do exactly? |

| reply to Inflex said by Inflex :Is that a small "b", as in bit? If so, then you really need to call wow. Basically 1 MB/s which is 1000kbps. Wireless I can only get up to 760kbps though. Kinda sucks. I need to figure out a way to get my laptop wired or have a port for it in the wall. |

| reply to DJ Matt Yeah no change for me. I am moving to a new house next weeks so I'm gonna buy the 15mb/2mb one. I think it will be worth $72. I have the 6mb one now. I'll report back and let anyone interested in getting it know of any differences. I'm an IT tech so if there are changes I will really notice them. Good day!

| reply to FileShackOrg I max out at about 1.7 up. And, it's infrequently that I get more than about 14.5x down. But, it's good enough for government work for me.
I should realistically only be getting 15/1. So, I'll take a little slower on the down for a little faster on the up. |

| reply to DJ Matt well the tech came out today and installed my service but gave me the old white webstar modem and I don't seem to be getting anything faster than 1.5 up not the 2 like some have been posting.
What modem has everyone else been getting the 15/2 speeds with? |

| reply to anonytard A little FYI, they aren't called backbone cities. They're called POPs. And AT&T has one here in Michigan, in Detroit. But WOW has their own speed tests, right on their own network. So if you can't get good speeds with their own tests, then there is something wrong. |
