| reply to DJ Matt I'm starting to believe there might be some truth to the fact that this might be a staggered rollout (over a lengthier period of time) for current customers, however new customers or people getting repackaged will see the new speeds sooner.
This is just a guess, backed up with no information. |

@wideopenwest.com | reply to DJ Matt I had to remove my Linksys router from the equation to get the 15/1 speeds. If I go through the router, I seem limited to 9/1. These speeds are very nice. |

| reply to DJ Matt Just called WOW and got upgraded. If you had the ultra or ultra plus you were basically downgaded in the new plans. You have to upgrade at a cost. It pissed me off because your lower speed tiers are not being penalized but the upper tiers are. The only good thing is I got rebundled until 2011 but by then everyone else will have gigabit speeds and we will still be stuck here.lol Oh well, nice to have faster speeds for now. |

As JackSparrow said it's likely a QOS issue. After you mentioned it I went into my router and found a QOS setting I set over a year ago.
I reset my QOS to 14900 down and 1000 up and wound up with the following:
My upload seems correct, as for the download it seems to ramp up; however, most the of speed tests seem to complete before it can hit the max. |

| reply to DJ Matt Got it, had to call and complain to retention. They then transferred me over to Internet, had to explain my situation again (Comcast blah blah 16/1 blah blah; be nice but assertive)
I was already getting a $25 credit towards my bill since I had called and talked to retention a few months ago threatening to go to Comcast. Getting the new speeds bumped my bill up to $98, from $96, but I'm not complaining.
Dish Turbo HD Gold package @ $50/month (just HD channels + HD PVR) fills the HD gap that WoW can't fill.
Overall, I'm a very happy camper. Thank you WoW
