After the wind storm Sunday we had no power for almost 24 hours. But we did have POTS the entire time and we had internet when the power came back - many of the cable folks - still do not have internet and if they have VOIP - no phone.
Hopefully they can recharge their cell phones or they will be phone less. -- Brian

reply to CylonRed Two days after Katrina, I had power and Internet. I was lucky b/c the State Police were using a school and some hotels that are close by as a staging area. We must have been on the same grid. -- I gave up drinking and eating bad food. And in 14 days, I had lost 2 weeks.
