Two days after Katrina, I had power and Internet. I was lucky b/c the State Police were using a school and some hotels that are close by as a staging area. We must have been on the same grid.

Weird. I had the complete opposite last year. No POTS, but cable and internet was running solid. |

| After the wind storm Sunday we had no power for almost 24 hours. But we did have POTS the entire time and we had internet when the power came back - many of the cable folks - still do not have internet and if they have VOIP - no phone.
Hopefully they can recharge their cell phones or they will be phone less.
