I can wait a few days I guess. I was going to buy NHL Gamecenter this afternoon. I'll hold off for a while.

SkippyD - GameCenter is supposed to be free preview starting tomorrow through Monday. The quality was awful last year so hopefully they've improved it if we don't get Center Ice.

JeepMatt - I'm not losing hope yet, just getting impatient.

I know, thats why I didn't buy it today. Like you i'm getting impatient. We had our Pens season ticket draft tonight and i'm happy with the games I got.

On the In Demand website, when I click on Center Ice, it gives me a choice of two providers in my area: Cablevision & Verizon Fios. We're close everyone.

FiOS is also listed for MLB EI on the InDemand site as well....

Good job JeepMatt. Now all we need is the NHl network. What is center ice going to cost, and will I get local games on center ice in HD, such as the Rangers? Or will their be blackout restrictions

Not sure about HD. And, normal blackout restrictions will apply.

Also - not sure of cost. My guess is it will be the standard $129 or $149 or whatever it's been in the past.

They'd better add the NHL network with it or there's going to be a lot of missed games. The NHL network is carrying 75 games this year including all of the Hockey Night in Canada broadcasts.

That means no CI for those games.

What channels will these guys show up on? And I wonder what is going on with NHL network? If they have a deal with the league for center ice, I would think NHL network would be included also.

I hop this turns out to be more than rumor! Why would CI not be up for the start of the season? What is the rumored start date for CI?

Same as matcarl, If I put in my zip code on the in demand web site, it shows up with "cablevision" and "Verizon Fios North Jersey/NY".

Season starts tonight. I wonder how close we are to Verizon getting this up and running?

The channels will be after the ESPN channels after 1015. NHL Network will probably be in the Sports Package.

Why would NHL network be in the sports package if NFL network is not?

Well, we're probably going to upgrade to Extreme then. Hubby (from Sweden) will want Hockey and as much of it as we can get

The extreme package includes the sports package, is that tru also for NY?

If I call to change my package to an extreme bundle, and I am under a 2 year warranty, I wonder if they would consider that an early termination fee?

I notice on myVerizon the fios triple freedom is $99.99 for extreme HD, Phone, and 20/20 internet.

Same price as I am paying now for Freedom essentials except I have 20/5 internet.

I wonder if it's worth it?

Most providers have it in the sports package: Cablevision, Comcast. NFL Network used to be in the sports package and Verizon removed it.
