Re: Pretty slick! I'm sure they've got a team of mobile programmers working on the iPhone app. I doubt it's taking much away from their other deployment resources. If we had to wait for AT&T perfect their U-Verse and cellular networks, they'd never get around to releasing any new features. 
From what I can see, the dropped call issue has been vastly improved on Apple's/iPhone's end with the recent firmware updates, but AT&T desperately needs to improve their 3G service around here. And yes, it's ridiculous that U-verse doesn't offer VOIP service in Los Angeles. They have it just 90 miles north in freshly-deployed Bakersfield.

Valencia, CA | According to AT&T, 3G on 850MHz will be here in December.
I do still have issues with 3G on my Samsung - even when I was in Hollywood yesterday, calls either drop or end up on GSM.
