*FREE* Upgrade to 3Mbps/768kbps from 768kbps/128kbps? I want that! I've been with Verizon for close to four years now! Also the 1.5Mbps speed is the gotcha of copper, not Verizon (unless of course Verizon messes up and provisions you wrong).

Not directly relevant being in NH I'm no longer a Verizon customer.

I too was stuck at 1500/384 due to distance. I'm about 12,500 feet from the CO. Don't know for sure since it changes every year. When I called FairPoint to see if I qualify for 3000/768 was told was too far but they would do it anyway. That was back in July and have been a happy camper with increased speed.

Perhaps as part of this offer Verizon has extended distance for 3000/768. It has to be a marketing nightmare to have two speeds at the same price and have to constantly explain to irate customers why they are provisioned slowed then expected.
