It sounds like you may just be too far from the CO.

Englewood, CO | They did tell me I am too far away, but I never received any documents. Now if that is the case, would a move to Qwest change anything - i.e. is it possible that their station is closer? |

Covad's DSLAM is usually located only in the CO and they do not have access to the ILEC's RT boxes.

Englewood, CO | thanks for the feedback. Funny enough, yesterday the line ran without any problems - and at night, EL called and asked whether the connection was better. They stated that Covad had 'done something' - but they could not tell me what. What can they have done? I would like to get to a point where I understand what is going on instead of spending days getting the runaround and then 'a miracle happens'. |

I can't begin to tell you how many times that I have seen both DSL and T1 circuits mysteriously stop malfunctioning after a telco tech simply does an intrusive test and then puts the circuit back on-line. A miracle fix is as good as a known fix as long as it is really fixed.
