I just got a recording stating the same thing: to upgrade me at no extra charge because I am a terrific loyal customer. They said it will happen within the week. I am in Toms River, NJ

I will believe it when I see it!

So a letter and a recording, and now two reports! If I have been loyal enough to Verizon, I'm getting excited about this! I've always wanted Verizon to take my 768kbps and stuff 3Mbps down my line. Besides, a friend of mine who games a lot on DSL, a 768k line is usually lagging because of internet load at his home so if this is true as he's probably had DSL for the same time as me, maybe longer, he'll be happy as well.

The download Steam will love, the upload I'll love as well since it'll let me upload my files and videos to the internet a lot quicker. Uploading 400+MB files is painful at 128kbps

But a question though, how long have you guys been a customer with Verizon? I've had the 768kbps package for nearly 4 years now.

I've had DSL for about 5 years now. Dumped Comcast due to budget reasons. 768 was just enough to do work from home. Yippee!
