Re: How About Austin, Texas ? I started to post earlier almost exactly what McSummation  did. I decided not to knowing someone else would and I wouldn't be the "bad" Texan! 
Yes -- Austin is really nice -- I've been here for 30 years and no matter what we do people still keep moving here and we keep growing. Do not expect any deals on housing. Even thought the market is off and sales are slow, the sales prices are up 4 - 5% from last year. Economy is still good although job growth is definitely slowing.
It does get hotter than heck here!
