Thanks for this. Just flashed an RTP300 that a friend gave me with no problem. |

I have RTP300 freshly disconnected from Vonage therefore safe to play with. I tried to do according to your guidelines. So far I was only able to downgrade firmware from 5.xxx to 1.00.62. Logged in to the box, left browser open, then started CYT 4.6 but to no avail -- it simply stays at 'waiting for your device' forever... Any help? Thanks in advance. |

| Tried CYT 3.5, but still no luck. It too hangs on 'waiting for your device' and nothing happens. But what I'm actually looking for is the way to flash the box with OpenWRT, not necessarily to fully unlock it. It seems that ping-hack does the trick, and who cares about Admin password if it will be running non-Linksys firmware anyway. Thanks for the tip though. |

@volia.net
| I don't care about FXS, I just need this particular Linksys box to be able to run an ipip tunnel and a couple of VLANs. Just like my other WRT54GS do with FreeWRT. I'm pretty much aware of the situation with OpenWRT and TI AR7-based models, in fact, I was among the first to talk to guy who finally booted OpenWRT on WRTP54G and I'm actively working on it using his patches |

If so, that will be great. Perhaps, you guys need to download the Legerity GPLed driver source for the FXS port and start working on it. By any chance, did you know if anyone managed to run the OpenWRT for TI AR7 on a PAP2v2? -- Mazilo always prays for FREEBIES! US Phone: +1-678-601-0907 UK Phone: +44-703-194-2574

Hi. I´m having problems unlocking my wrtp54G from vonage.
I´ve followed the process by the book at least 20 times, and all the times, when transferring the file to the router, it reaches very fast about 94% (sometimes 93, sometimes 95), then goes veeeryyyyy slow for a few minutes, and then times out. Over and over, so I can´t get to the next step, which is watching the router installing the software.
Any hint?
THANKS!!
Dave.- |

Dave.- That usually happens when the wireless is still running. Make sure that the wireless is off before performing the firmware update. |

@comcast.net | reply to Phoenix2088 Any idea if this will work w/ver 1.00.62 as shipped by Vonage. I don't have an upgrade option in my admin tab to upgrade assume locked out by Vonage. |

I will try and post a modified RTP300 NA firmware in the next few days once I get a chance. |

@rr.com | reply to Phoenix2088 I have a RTP 300 and when I get to the end of step 4 it stays blinking. I waited for about and hour and it was still blinking. I repeated the steps twice and the same thing happened. Any suggestions? |

Did you make sure to switch out the 1.00.62 WRTP54G firmware originally posted with the RTP300 version from the forth post? |

| reply to Phoenix2088 Worked for me with an RTP300.
One thing not mentioned is that you either have to unplug any other device other than your PC which is connected to the RTP300, or you need to change the IP address it is using for the commands. The instructions (and the RF file) assumes the PC is 198.162.15.100. Your TFTP server window will tell you what the IP address is.
The illustrations are of the WRTP console. The RTP300 Ping console looks a little different.
On my box, the Admin and user logins don't seem to work, but the voip configuration page is available.
Thanks to all who figured this out |
