SN margin with Speedtouch 585v6

anon : Hi I am from Greece and I am having problems with my Speedtouch 585v6. In fact I have 9.5 db sn margin(down) which is pretty bad. I have checked all my phone connections in the house and all are about the same (9.0-9.5 db). Sometimes when I restart the speedtouch my connection has far more better stability and latency in games. For example if I join a greek server of counter strike source i usually get around 140(latency) and 110ms ping where I should usually get around 30(latency) and around 45ms ping. The lower values are the values that I get sometimes from my speedtouch after restart but is once in 10 days. I wanted to know what do you think is happening and what I do to improve the quality. I am willing to buy a new router and use the current as a bridge modem if needed.
Thanks
