Re: Changing Phone Numbers

Here's the package that I have:

OSTG ADSL 1.5/768
- 8 Static IPs
- 150 Hours of Dial Up per Month
- Shell Account on Grace
- 8 Email Accounts
- 500MB Web Hosting
- 1 Primary & Secondary DNS
- 5 Domain Email Accounts
- 5 Secondary DNS Only
- 1GB/month News Group Access
- $79.95/month - $20 Customer Loyalty Discount = $59.95/month + taxes & fees

Can you give me something comparable? I'm willing to give some stuff up for a dry line/speed increase, etc.

Please let me know what you find.

Thanks.

"Customer Loyalty Discount" - never even heard about this... How does one qualify? Been with SE for over 7 years now - wonder if that can qualify as a loyal customer.

I believe I got it before when I was going to leave. Speakeasy made it worth it for me to stay.

To be honest, that's about the best price you're going to get at that speed. A dry line is going to cost you more though, the comparable speed is $10 additional. Are you using your static IPs and all of the other benefits that come with your loop?

I'm not using all of the features. I've only used one IP of the 8. I'm willing to give up most of the stuff if the price/speed deal is good. For example, I don't use the email accounts or the web hosting, and I only use one secondary DNS. I need a static IP, more than one would be nice although I've never used more than one. Dial up & the shell account is also good for backup.

What offers would I be able to get? If you don't want to post the offers publicly, please PM me.

Thanks.

I have no problem posting offers, lol... but as I said, for that speed that's the best price you're going to get. Since you're on a legacy package, anything done will increase your cost. We aren't offering anything comparable price wise currently.

The phone line belongs to someone else I live with, if they move and take the number, I'm going to be forced to do something with the DSL since that's under my name.

So you're saying that Speakeasy would rather lose a customer because they're forcing him to get a more expensive package with less options instead of keeping the customer at the current package/price?

This way we both lose; Speakeasy loses fees, and I lose my DSL. If Speakeasy allowed me to change my package to a new line, we both win; Speakeasy keeps getting my money and I keep my DSL.

Makes sense to me, but I guess not to Speakeasy. It's not like I'm trying to get the same thing at a lower price; if I was then Speakeasy would be losing. Why would you not want to keep a customer?

EDIT: Changed so it doesn't sound like I'm directing anger directly to CBKBAMF See Profile, but more Speakeasy instead.
