It's that same kind of whisper campaign used on a certain presidential candidate. Make implications without actual charges, and eventually it becomes 'common knowledge', even though it's still a lie. Just like 'all defense lawyers lie to get their client off'. As someone said earlier, 'until YOU need a lawyer to defend you against bogus charges. I would also point out that if the bar for civil evidence was as high as it is for criminal, OJ would have won his civil suit. |
