It wasn't
Islamic Extremism is largely responsible for 9-11-01 and is our enemy.
Wiretapping a few dozen suspects without warrant or probable cause is acceptable to me; even if I were one of them.

Tapping the data stream of every citizen of the United States is not acceptable.

Since you have turned down every opportunity to unabashedly agree with that last sentence, it is reasonable to assume that you support tapping the data stream of every American.

In my opinion, that would make you my enemy and an enemy of the citizens of the United States.

If I have assumed your beliefs incorrectly, please correct that record. Otherwise, as an enemy of my country, I would encourage that you be treated as such.

Considering the suspected terrorists already knew they were being tapped and record and monitored BEFORE all of this even came to light, nothing is changing.

Proof?

»intelwire.egoplex.com/2008_02_02···ves.html

The fact that the terrorists groups out there are starting to use strong encryption only serves to illustrate that they knew they were being monitored.

Also, the EFF doesn't opposed warranted and justified wire tapping that is done in accordance with the Constitution... They are fighting this because the warrantless wire tapping is unwarranted and unconstitutional.

Do buildings fall when they catch fire?

NO they do not
All the time.

You obviously have no clue to how the World Trade Towers were built. You could crash planes into the Empire state building, and have it burn every floor, and it would not likely collapse... but the WTC wasn't built like a conventional building, due to it's height, and desire for open floorplans.

No they are fighting it because it generates huge amounts of money. They not only sucker people into donating but also look for other ways to generate money by changing and expanding the suits. I can pretty much guarantee the new law suit seeks money to cover the costs of the original suit that was dropped.

What a load of BS - EFF is non-profit if you even know what that means...

In any case if they can teach a lesson for these scumbags (Cheney, Bush etc) I'll GLADLY double my yearly membership fee.

The WTC came down for the following reasons:

1. The planes stripped away the fire protection on the steel beams inside the structure.

2. After the internal structure couldn't bare the load, bears 95% of the weight, the outside shell did. However, pieces were missing.

3. Engineers took part of the WTC steel beams and tested them against high degrees of fire. They failed almost immediately without fireproofing.

4. The first to fall had the most structural damage to the internal steel beams and the entire weight of the building went onto the outer shell. It was damaged badly so it fell.

5. The second one fell because the top of the internal structure collapsed.

Engineers of the Discovery Channel discussed this at great length and were charged to see how it fell. The builders of the WTC claimed a plane hit it could take as long as the internal structure wasn't severally damaged. They even tried it.

It fell inward because the internal support totally failed bringing down the shell support. In some areas, there was NO fireproofing on the steel at all. Some due to the WTC's age. If the plane would have been aimed lower, it probably would have collapsed within minutes landing on other buildings too.

Too bad it's BS - they k now about 9/11, without illegal wiretaps, it's just that Bush never acted on it.
Exactly. Why should we have to give up our rights because the government dropped the ball?

You're an idiot if you think "Non-Profit" doesn't means they don't get paid. "Non-Profit" means that they not offer services for profit which is distributed to owners or shareholders...not for they are offering services for free. That means they are able to earn any amount of money or profit but those profits are are not owned by nor distributed to individuals, share holders, or stake holders. The EFF is raking in huge amounts of money. Send them all the money you want, but remember you are simply making lawyers rich. If your real motive is just to hate Bush and Cheney there are probably much better organizations to donate to (perhaps moveon.org).

That would ONLY be true if the EFF was not already asking for money. Since the EFF's fund raising is continuous, this line of reasoning falls apart.

And we all know how useless/evil attorneys are...that is, until you, personally need one to get your sorry ass off the hook. Then your tune no doubt changes drastically.

Of course the EFF is continuously asking for money, however they know a cash cow situation when they see it and know how to manipulate donations.

The Red Cross is constantly fund raising however they get much larger responses/donations when a hurricane hits. That being the case, when the EFF says they are going to sue the President all the looneys come out.

Which, of course, negates the issue at hand, right? The fact that they may be milking the situation for additional donations does not change the issues at hand.

there's a Big difference between a 1 story highway which uses very little steel and and mostly concrete (which BTW was not structurally sound and is engineered end to end = horizontally) and a highly engineered massive steel supported building

i suggest you see »www.ae911truth.org/ and learn properly

Because they find it impossible to blame themselves for letting it happen. A related point is, if I recall right, back when Clinton was president, he was offered Osama's head on a platter 3 times by the Sudan government and didn't even stand up. So you could say Clinton's administration allowed 9/11 to happen, not Bush's.
