| Single-Link MLPPP using Mikrotik
Hi All
I'm trying to use a Mikrotik router to set up a MLPPP connection on only one DSL line to bypass Bell's DPI throttling. I can connect OK, and have been told that all I have to do is specify multiple interfaces in the PPPoE Client, and it will just work. but still, I'm seeing the effects of DPI. Does anybody have any information about how to determine if MLPPP is working properly. And has anybody actually tried this with a Mikrotik. |

I got one from work, and I use them every day. I'm just having trouble with this one feature. |

| I already asked the other guys at work, and they aren't sure about getting it to work on only one DSL line. I've been in all the forums here at dslreports, and on the Mikrotik forum, but all that most people are doing is multiple DSL Lines. I'm not interested in spending a lot of money for another DSL line, when all I want to do is get around the DPI throttling. I know that I could always try and get a hold of a WRT54G (i think), and run Tomato, but there are benefits to the Mikrotik router for me that I don't want to lose. |

| Slick! So that's the answer...
BTW Inssomniak, Mikrotik got the small packet problem fixed. We've been running 3 and 5 line bonds on an RB450 for about a month now, no probs using a custom release.
The 5 line bond is broken out to the modems using VLANs through a managed switch to get enough Ethernet ports as the RB493s were not available at the time. Not sure what the maximum number of lines will be, but 5 works great.

There is no mainstream release of mikrotik containing that fix? Not that Im gonna implement it tomorrow or anything. The tomato/linksys thing has been great for me. |
