| reply to jrobert69 said by jrobert69 :No its not true. Astroweb has nothing to do with what you download. Astraweb may not have anything to do with it....but paypal sometimes does. Several providers will not allow adult group downloads due to Paypals "no adult" policy. These providers have a separate group list for paypal customers. I believe it all has to do with the agreement the provider has with paypal themselves. When we started accepting Paypal, we had no problems with offering adult groups...heck we even advertise it ...others..not so lucky I guess. -- Usenet Accounts |

| reply to gd I signed up for the $11/month Astraweb deal using Paypal three days ago. Doing a quick search for "playboy" in my newsreader shows:
alt.binaries.full.post.verified.playboy alt.binaries.multimedia.erotic.playboy alt.binaries.pictures.centerfolds.playboy alt.mag.playboy
I know not everyone considers Playboy to be porn but if they were going to block Paypal users from getting to it, seems like groups with playboy in the title would definitely be blocked. |
