If docsis 1.0-2.0 is any indication of the kind of shared infrastructure that varies the last mile bandwidth of cablemodems $150 is sort of out of line when compared to a FTTP connection of similar bandwdith and priced at least $10-60 less than Comcast's proposed tier price. I'm thinking that this will have to get to around $100 some how, some way, as the market will not pay $150 for internet, especially most residential customers **unless the idea is to cancel your cable tv subscriptions and get OTA digital broadcast tv, and supplement with p2p/internet delivered content** |
