RCA DHG535-2 and WRT54GL issue
I came home from school to see that Comcast had come to my house and replaced my SB101 modem with a RCA/Thomson DHG535-2. This is all well and good except that I can no longer use a router with this modem. I connect the router and webpages fail to load, I can't ping out, etc. This router was previously working fine with my SB101.

Any idea what is going on?
You need to reset the RCA whenever you change what is plugged into it (router or computer). The reset button is on the back of the modem. It is recessed so you will need a pen or a paperclip to get at it.
That RCA is an eMTA and is probably running your phone service too so you will lose that while the MTA resets.
Interesting, that worked. Duh! I thought it would reset by unplugging it but I guess not. Thank you.

It has a battery in it. Did you notice when you unplugged it the lights stayed on? =)
Our two devices worked fine when we reset it everytime. now one wont connect... something about the MTU's?
can you help?
