wild guess on 4.99 charge

I believe the additional charge is to enable the multiroom and media manager features on dvrs that are not currently subscribed. Hence the additional charge is not an extra or new fee. Customers who already have the multiroom dvr which comes with media manager may not have to pay anything else. Only customers who have dvr without the multiroom feature will have to upgrade and it will cost $5 more. For example, existing standard def multiroom dvr is $17.99 per month. Existing standard def dvr is 12.99. Therefore $12.99+$5=$17.99 which is what existing standard def multiroom dvr customers pay now. For HD, regular HD/DVR is $15.99, multiroom HD/DVR is $19.99. Whether the price will remain $19.99 or is going up to $20.99 has yet to be seen. But basically I think current multiroom customers should be getting the new features at no extra charge. Just my guess based upon stuff I've heard from vz employees
