viafax999 : Sometimes they are history even if the dongle doesn't die,

I just spent 6 hours trying to restart the MJ on my w2k3 server and also on an XP workstation. Many, many upgrades were performed but nothing happened. Finally moved to a "virgin" laptop and another upgrade happened and it came up with no contacts.
Moved it to the Xp machine and it came up Ok again, still no contacts.
Then moved it back to the w2k3 server and again it came up OK but still with no contacts.
Had a look at the address book on the dongle and everything was there. Entered one of the original address book entries and it saved OK and the rest disappeared. As there is no way to import an address book I manually re-entered all the entries.
Bottom line is that there is something "real flaky" about the way these upgrades are applied - this is the second time that the whole device appears to have become unmanageable, or else the device is totally messed up and only works now and again
