MediaDefender deserves the banhammer for this one.
For legally selling porn? I don't think so. MediaDefender has done a lot of questionable things and taken many missteps, but what's wrong with them selling/advertising legal porn?
How are people supposed to know which files they offer are legal and which aren't? It's like going to some guy on the street who sells legal DVDs of movies, but has some that are fake but look just as legal as the others, and if you buy the fake ones from him, he arrests you.

For starters, if you're redirected to a site where you need to pay for content, that's probably one of the authorized ones. If you're getting full porn HD rips, they probably aren't authorized. Either way, I doubt that Media Defender is giving away content, authorized or unauthorized, so it shouldn't be too challenging to determine legitimacy.

I'm not even going to bother arguing with someone who can't be bothered to read the news blurb we're arguing about.

Hint: "The company is involved with both legal and illegal p2p downloads online; they use legal downloads to make money on branded songs in partnership with businesses like Atlantic records and they use illegal downloads to catch filesharers and get money from studios"

That's Kathryn's take. I read the linked articles where there is actually more detail. I merely answered a question as best I could with the information I had....not arguing.

Exactly. Why even deal with this company when you know they are shady to begin with? I don't care if their content is legal or pirated. Based on this companies past history why would you do any business with them?
