Re: DLP color wheel squeeking

you may want to travel over to the avsforum.com, I'm sure I've seen posts concerning color wheels. I've also seen some posts concerning adjustments that will need to be made within the service menu. I definately have seen that this is not a simple plug n play parts swap.

Well I just got off the phone with Samsung and they had some good news and some bad news.

Good news: It is the color wheel and I can replace it myself.:)

OK news: It costs $90 for the part.

Bad news: It is out of stock right now.

I ordered the part on SamsungParts.com but it is backordered and they expect about a 4 week delay ... so far. The tech on the phone said that it is not that hard for a reasonably tech savvy guy to replace. I am that guy So lets just hope my color wheel lasts until I get the new one.

I did see it available in some other places online but it was the same price or higher and I don't know if they are reputable dealers or not so I figured I would just wait on Samsungparts.com for now and see how it goes.
