Call and have your Motorola provisioned again.

Your IP would have changed because the line was disconnected.

I know it's after the fact...but this is why I don't suggest buying stuff off Ebay.

They can't put you on a node. You can't change the node. 1 node is programmed to serve your block/neighborhood.

Just came back from best buy. Same thing I am uploading video of how this looks like...

is it possible that they block that motorola from being able to connect?

that's exactly what the sb6120 does when it's not provisioned. i know because i got my sb6120 today and that's exactly what it did when i connected it (just to verify that i could at least get to the modem's configuration page) before i called time warner to get it provisioned.

it sounds like neither of your sb6120's are provisioned. you need to call time warner and provision one of your sb6120's, and you have to use that one. if you change to another modem, it won't work unless you call time warner and tell them the modem's mac address.

Well this is weaird because my other modem was provisioned and it would behave the same way. Should I tell them to proviison the new modem and then see what happens ?

you said the tech that came out to fix your wiring provisioned the rca modem. that explains why your first 6120 stopped working. provisioning 'locks' your service to one particular modem, you can't simply swap it out for another one (even if it's the same model) and not tell time warner, because then it won't work.

pick one of the sb6120's and call time warner and have them provision it. when tw calls you back to let you know it's been provisioned, make sure you connect the right 6120. if you connect the wrong one, it won't work.

Thanks again but the reason RCA modem is working again because they enabled it. Becasue MOTO would not connect at all so they enabled the RCA Modem this is the issue, I will give it a shot call them and tell them to enable the moto from best buy and see what happens

as far as i could tell from your other posts, the reason why the motorola stopped connecting completely was because somebody cut your wiring. then when the tech fixed it, he reprovisioned the rca, not the motorola. that's why the moto won't connect. no other modem except your particular rca will connect, unless you call time warner and have them provision the new modem.

OK just called tier3 a nice guy did the form and everything. I will not unplug RCA modem until monday morning. Unless I loose connection by itself I hope this way it will get proviisoned somehow...

Update

I think the reason all this was happening was because I think the first time i called the lady must have gotten the MAC ID not right , when I called yesterday directly to level3 I gave him mac ID from modems from best-buy , now I can plug-unplug my RCA modem and RCA modem works so that means Moto is still not provisioned!

but I do not understand still how is it that my speeds are slow again...
from 10+mb at this time to slower then my upload?

I just hope when SB6120 works it will be back to normal.. im sick of this RR shit

It is 3 Business days. Took them 3.5 business days to provision my Motorola Modem.

Make sure you provide the correct MAC to Tier3 Tech.

Keep call them up to find out if the new MAC is added to your account. Tier3 should be able to tell you when is activated.

Good luck.

Btw, I am getting 16mb down 24/7 now via my Linksys Router.
If I directly plug PC to Motorola Modem, I can get 30mb down, something is little messed up.

I was just speaking with level3.

Bats or anyone who was looking at the video nothing has changed the modem behaves the same way and level3 said that the modem is in their system and it's provisioned. I dont understand why it just wont connect 2 same modems, same behavior...

but when I go my friends house just connect the modem it does not keep on blinking like in the video.. it's steady but it wont connect to the net :/

how long did you leave it plugged in? i got the call from time warner earlier today that my 6120 was provisioned, but when i plugged the modem in, it displayed the same behavior as in your video. it eventually connected, but i'd say it took at least 5-10 minutes (after a few minutes i stopped waiting and went and did something else, then when i came back, it was connected).

so just leave it connected and have patience. actually, while you're waiting, call them up and have them read back the mac address to you, just to make sure they have it right.

Hey thanks agian bats wow guys at time warner are dumb.

1 Guy said it's activated another one said it's not so Im guessing it's not yet provisioned. And I was about to go to bestbuy.
