Bad speeds over wireless N

Hi. I recently upgraded my network to 802.11n from g and now i cannot get full speeds on one of my computer.

I updated the drivers for the wireless adapter and router. I am getting decent signal 4 bars 270mbps speed.

I can get full speeds on one of my computers but not this one so it cannot be a router problem.

I was searching google and found a few ways to attempt to increase my speeds but i can't remember what they were. Maybe they made things worse? I went into cmd and typed some long command to disable something that was supposed to increase my speeds. Sorry but i can't remember what it was.

Is there a way to reset my vista network settings? I have no idea what i am doing when it comes to networking.

Please help. Thanks.

What is the make, model of your router with version?
What adapters, wireless cards are you using? Include capabilities.
What channel are you using?
What level of encryption?
What router firmware?

"n" is in draft mode right now. It is not a full fledge spec yet. I would not recommend moving to it until its completed. Every vendor has their own implementation and tweaks since this technology is in draft mode.

it sounds like you turned off the " autotune" feature. (which is ok if you intend to manually fine tune the TCP settings.)
here's how to repair/reenable those settings
