This is a very old thread... The Speedtest app is now available to the public on the App Store. Just login on iTunes or your iPhone/iPod Touch, search for speedtest and it should be one of the top results.

Actually, I just updated to a 3GS and looked on the iTunes store and couldn't locate it any longer. Perhaps it hadn't been updated to work with the 3.0 software?

Search with "network speed test" or "dslreports".
The latter got it for me, but it shows up as the former when chosing "info" to look at it. |
