Albo23 : You don't need luck. Just call every few weeks and give them the usual BS. I'm bout to call in again, tell them I'm laid off (totally believable in Michigan) and I'm sure I can hack it down. However the laid off thing wouldn't work for adding HBO and such because I don't think the unemployed want HBO?

EDIT: Don't forget to call back if you get denied. Also, tell the CSR to ask their manager. It took me two tries to get the free HD Box.

Albo23 : WOW is very good. I'm sure they're looking for customers so you'll get a killer deal. Currently I get: Digital Cable, 8Mbps Internet, Advanced Phone, HD Box, and Digital Box for $89 before tax.

HD is better than anything around my area. There aren't too many HD Channels though, but that results in less compression.

anon : I used to have TWC and I have found that internet speeds with WOW! are much more consistent and their customer service is much better. They actually care about their customers, unlike TWC when you call customer service. I would definitely recommend switching to WOW! The std and hd picture quality is the same... good quality. I have had no big problems with them and had many with TWC.

gkandra : WOW just started offering service in my area on the west side of Cleveland. I currently have Time Warner Cable and am curious on how WOW std def and hd picture quality, etc compares to WOW. I see that WOW just started offering higher INet bands so that isn't much of a concern for me at this point. Any comments/feedback is greatly appreciate, thanks.
