I'm all for some real competition for the iPhone. Competition is good, and best for us consumers. I've been an iPhone user since day 2 of the original iPhone's launch and bought the iPhone 3G on day 2 of its launch. And I welcome Google and TMO with open arms in the hopes that what they bring to the table will push Apple to do even better things with the iPhone.

Having said that and having read multiple articles and summaries on today's news surrounding the G1, however, I must admit that I'm not the least bit worried about the iPhone's ongoing success. Given what the G1 appears to offer right now, it just does not look like a serious threat, or any threat, really, to the iPhone.

Interesting times lie ahead. That much is certain.
