stomp357 : I wonder why Suddenlink doesn't offer their news service to all their markets? When I tried accessing it, an error message saying "access not asvailable to my node" came up in my news reader.

anon : Same here in WV. I called this morning and the Suddenlink techie I spoke with had no clue. It went out completely Monday at about 9:30PM EDT (no connection or response to pings) and came back at 8:30AM yesterday with about 1Mbps average for 4 connections until it stopped responding at about 9PM. Hopefully Highwinds-Media is upgrading their servers and hasn't lost everything that was uploaded elsewhere during these outages.

anon : I'm in Texas and have been getting TCP/IP handshake errors for the last 24 hours or so. I'm using news.suddenlink.net port 119 as my server. I can ping it just fine, but can't access any newsgroups. Everything else is working fine. Anyone else having this problem? Has there been a server change or anything like that? I don't want to have to call suddenlink if I can help it!
