Had been running BOClean with ZA & Avira.
Trying Mamutu. Is also running BOClean redundant? |

| If it was me. I would dump ZA and run with Comodo firewall or Online armor firewall. Along with Avira and BOClean. Would be a pretty tight security setup. I'm personally running Avira Premium with webguard off and mailguard off. Not needed in my case. And Online Armor, BOClean. |

| reply to Orphan BOClean is primarily a blacklist-based scanner. So is Avira. Therefore, BOC is *mostly* redundant with Avira and will add very little to your computer's security.
Mamutu is NOT blacklist-based. Instead, it monitors the behavior of processes, & notifies you if any given process is TRYING to do the same sort actions that are typical of malware behavior.
Therefore, Mamutu affords good zero-day protection for malware that is so new that it is not yet covered by blacklists. It would be an excellent additon to your current security set-up. |
