Re: There is a reason I tell people not to sign up for uverse ISPs want to control content because they all supply content. cable ISPs have their VOD services(which is probally the primary seller of their digital cable). AT&T and Verizon have their portals and contracts with major content providers. all the major broadband ISPs like to keep you under their umbrella because they get ad dollars from eyes looking at their site and not google's.
