mike12806 : Tried and ultimately failed to set-up a netgear FVS114 with my iphone to VPN into my home connection. I found the netgear VPN to be impossible to set up! I ended up getting a WRT54GL and putting dd-wrt on it, and i'm using that for a PPTP VPN.

I've also found that the iphone's PPTP VPN implication is non-standard, and I had to alter dd-wrt to make it work.

What I'm trying to say, if you get it work hat's off to ya!

EDIT: The dd-wrt VPN setup page is a thousand times easier to understand for the relative novice at setting up a VPN....

SoonerAl : Enabling PPTP Pass Through should pass GRE Protocol 47 traffic. Its not a port that needs to be opened. You can either upgrade the firmware or reflash the firmawre to try and fix this issue.
