config westell 6100 modem

anon : I had to recently replace my DSL modem due to failure. The phone co provided a different modem. They hit you with a $104.00 charge for this and it only comes with a 1 year warranty. I want to purchase a extra unit and have it set up and ready to go if I have another failure. What is the easiest way to configure the new modem with the setting from the original? There is a back up and restore but it is internal memory only. Does any one have a idea??
