Well, your downstream margin is in in the negatives, so you are having line issues. I'd fix this line noise issue as soon as possible before you do anything else, as low margins do cause packet loss which can affect PPPoE sessions. If you hear any noise on your phone line such as buzzing or static with the receiver volume turned up if you have a phone line (after you kill the dial tone and with the DSL omdem on of course), call up Verizon Voice Repair and do not mention DSL what so ever to them. Otherwise, plug the modem into a NID if you have access to one and see if the stats stay constant there.

The DSL light stays on and the internet light continues to flash.

It seems to have resynced my download and upload after one of my later disconnects, but it still continues to do so.

I checked the transceiver stats on the last disconnect. The margin dropped considerably, but I'm not sure if that is a cause or an effect of the disconnect =x.

If you can, I'd try using a different modem from someone such as a friend or ask Verizon for a new one. If the modem is definitely not warm but is very hot, it may be just overheating and is probably a sign it's defective.

@jlmodell: I'd look at your upstream sync a little and see if you can improve your margin on that slightly. Try a different jack or plugging into a NID if you can, as you're missing 32kbps on the upload. Distance isn't an issue, I can already tell. Otherwise, I can't really understand your log since I'm not used to those kinds, so someone else would have to interpret that for you. From what it looks like to me, you are having a hard time maintaining PPPoE sessions. Does your internet light turn red/go out but yet the DSL light stay lit when you have your outages?

I am also having similar disconnect issues. I've been on the phone with verizon tech since thursday and they continue to tell me that "there are no problems at all with your connection." ... The disconnections are maddening!!! Every 30 minutes sometimes.

I live in Queens, NY.

Well, things seem fine to me honestly, as the modem doesn't seem to be trying too hard to transmit the DSL signal. Certainly those line stats are great considering your distance. It might be your modem is defective, but can you explain how hot it is running? If it's running warm, yeah, that's going to happen, but if it is hot to the touch, like hot water from a faucet, it might be due for a replacement as you probably got a defective one. Wait for someone else to chime in as I'm not too familiar with these particular models of modem.

Also, can you post up your modem's diagnostic log? That might show the reason for the disconnects. It should be in roughly the same place as the transceiver stats.

Can you post up your transceiver stats? Log into the modem, go into System Monitoring, Advanced Monitoring, and then Transceiver stats. Post them up and show us everything on that page. A hot modem to the touch is not a very good sign and I'm wondering if the DSL modem is getting too strong of a signal.

Also, the modem is in a well ventilated/a cool room, right? If the room in which it's in is very warm, that may be causing the problem. Otherwise, if everything looks fine from what you've provided, you might have to get that replaced.

  At any point throughout the day my internet will shut off, sometimes more than once. Ill reset the router, and the internet light will go red. Ill reset it again and everything is peachy until it disconnects again later. The internet NEVER goes on after the first reset.

I have a bad feeling it's the router. The internet light is never actually solid for more than 3 seconds, although my connection itself seems solid. The light spends most of its time blinking.

I know there's list of information normally I need to include with my post, but I can't find it anywhere. I've posted here before regarding an issue at my other house.

Just let me know what I need to tell you and I will respond ASAP. Thank you very much for your help!

Model 7500 is my Router. It runs very hot.
