Gaijin need not apply.
You don't know anyone from Japan do you? Just like in the US we have a whole culture against illegal immigrants, they have a whole culture of "pop star outsiders". To say they are the most anti-immigrant nation on Earth is to say the US has no racism in the country. It's all just a matter of opinion of course, but have you seen what an immigrant coming to the US has to go through if they want to become a legal citizen? They would put our history and government classes in high school to shame as they have to learn more about both than most of us did while in school.

You've got to be joking. You think it's difficult to become a legal citizen in this country? I have a great deal of experience in this area. I watch people who barely speak English get coached on how to answer the questions in the interview. Then they go in for their interview, and even though it's quite clear that the applicant truly has little command of the English language, and is simply reciting answers to questions based on rote memorization and no true understanding of American History or the structure of our Government, they're still easily granted citizenship.

Our process for granting citizenship is a joke these days. Sure, it make take some time. But these immigrants know how to play they game.

clearly you have never been to Japan. Get outside of the main areas of the big cities, and you will be surprised how many people will want nothing to do with you, refuse to serve you in their resteraunts, etc. I'm certainly not saying the US is perfect, but it is very blatant over there.
