Correct. A waste of time and money. Even if you had 6 Mbps service it would not make a difference.

How about if I get a twist pair phone cable between the jack and the DSL modem such as the "Radio Shack ADSL patch cable"? Is that worth it?
If you are not having issues then it would not be needed. Save your money.
